How scores and brand ownership are defined
Score: Every product receives a 0–100 public market-signal score using the same weights across retailers: 30% Bayesian-adjusted customer rating, 20% review depth, 20% retailer-specific demand evidence, 15% public browse visibility, 5% novelty, 5% source coverage, and 5% captured availability. Missing stars contribute no rating evidence. These are public-data proxies, not internal weekly sales or profit.
Brand ownership: Structured retailer brand fields are used where available; otherwise normalized verified brand matching is used. Ambiguous products remain “Brand unclear” and “Unclassified.”
